X Wines is the brainchild of Tim Adams, a renowned viticultural and winemaking consultant hailing from Marlborough. With over a decade of experience, including a significant stint at Astrolabe Wines, Tim Adams set out to create his own unique brand, making a lasting impact on the wine market.

Since 2011, Tim has been producing his own wines from a small vineyard in the heart of Marlborough. However, the challenges of the 2017 vintage inspired him to expand his horizons and explore winemaking opportunities beyond Marlborough.

Tim finds inspiration in the natural beauty of New Zealand. When he's not traveling the world, creating and promoting exceptional wines, he enjoys the stunning landscapes of New Zealand through mountain biking and cyclocross.

Introducing Little X, a captivating range of wines crafted with both approachability and sophistication in mind. Tim sources grapes from select sites in Hawkes Bay and Marlborough, reflecting his commitment to exceptional value.
